Brie Larson may be best known for playing Captain Marvel in the MCU, but the Oscar-winning actress is also a huge fan of Disneys other major franchise: Star Wars. So the actress was as excited as all the rest of the Star Wars fans for the opening of Star Wars: Galaxys Edge at Disneyland and she wasnt afraid to show it. Brie Larson clearly wasnt worried about remaining buttoned up for the cameras around her, and completely geeked out being at Galaxys Edge and immersed in the a galaxy far, far away. The actress was all smiles, looking totally thrilled and living in the moment within the park. And if her face werent so recognizable shed be indistinguishable from any other lucky fan visiting Disneys newest feat of Imagineering magic.

Part of the beauty of Disneys theme parks is that whether youre a kid on the first visit or an adult going to an attraction like Galaxys Edge for the first time, the experience is the same. You are overwhelmed by the moment and have your head (and camera) on a swivel, looking all around to take everything in, delighting in the sights and sounds and with an ear-to-ear smile that cant be wiped off your face.

That is exactly what we see from Brie Larson here at Star Wars: Galaxys Edge and as good of an actress as she is, her enthusiasm here is no act.

This video from THR writer Ryan Parkers Twitter account seems to have been taken during the Dedication Ceremony for the new land that took place last week. The ceremony was held in front of the Millennium Falcon in the Black Spire Outpost on the planet Batuu and was attended by a group of Disney and Star Wars luminaries like no other.

At the dedication of the park were Disney CEO and Chairman Bob Iger, the creator George Lucas, Lando Calrissian actor Billy Dee Williams, Luke Skywalker actor Mark Hamill and appropriately, Han Solo himself, Harrison Ford. Even Chewbacca showed up in the cockpit of the Millennium Falcon and the ceremony ended with a fireworks display.

Seeing all of those people who played such beloved characters standing in front of the Millennium Falcon had to be a truly surreal experience. How could you not geek out if youre a Star Wars fan?

Brie Larson wasnt the only famous name to get a chance to experience Star Wars: Galaxys Edge though. Star Wars: The Last Jedi director Rian Johnson also got to go and called the park freakin unbelievable and even praised the taste of the green milk.

CinemaBlends own Dirk Libbey also got to visit Star Wars: Galaxys Edge and he was thrilled with the massive parks level of immersion, although he did have some qualms with the Millennium Falcon ride. Dirk also said that building your own lightsaber at Galaxys Edge is worth the ridiculous amount of Galactic Credits it will cost you.

You can judge for yourself because Star Wars: Galaxys Edge is now open and apparently the lines arent too bad. If you cant make it there yet, you can still visit a galaxy far, far away this year when Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker opens in theaters on December 20.

John Wick 4? Keanu Reeves Will Continue 'As Far As The Audience Wants To Go'

How many times is John Wick thinkin' he's back? Mr. Wick is in an extremely tight spot in the upcoming John Wick: Chapter 3 - Parabellum, but it sounds like he probably makes it out alive. Is that a spoiler alert or pretty much a given? Maybe it's a misdirect. We won't know until the movie opens in May, but Keanu Reeves said he's up for making as many more John Wick movies as you want:

As far as my legs can take me. As far as the audience wants to go.

So this is up to YOU, dear ticket-buyer. Keanu Reeves' John Wick 3 co-star Ian McShane recently said he could see John Wick continuing for another 10 years. So, yeah, that sounds like a good sign for John Wick 4. There's also that TV show following The Continental supposedly coming to Starz, but it's been a while since we got any solid updates.

Keanu Reeves shared his "as far as the audience wants to go" quotes with GQ, in the same interview where he talked about being put in movie jail after rejecting Speed 2. (He deserved a medal for that decision.)

Keanu also recently recapped the previous two John Wick movies, in case you're not up-to-speed on the wife-and-puppy love that brought his hitman out of retirement, and the global contract out on his life that currently has him on the run. Reeves explained the existential crisis at work in John Wick:

He's got this beautiful, tragic conundrum - these two selves. The John who was married, and John Wick, the assassin. John wants to be free. But the only way he knows how is through John Wick. And John Wick keeps fucking killing people and breaking rules. We're really watching a person fight for their life and their soul.

The John Wick films are directed by Chad Stahelski, who first met Keanu when working as the actor's stunt double in The Matrix movies. Stahelski praised 54-year-old Reeves' commitment to his roles:

I don't know anyone that puts more into the game, collaboratively, physically, intellectually. I've never experienced anyone that could have survived [The Matrix]. It just took a different type of person. To be open to that. To allow yourself to be constantly soaking wet, sore, tired, beaten up, for years. [...] Now fast-forward to 20 years later, and you've got your former stunt double directing you. So he knows what you're capable of. And his expectations are even more psychotic than the last decade and a half of directors you've worked for. I can say, I know you have more. Don't lie to me. Get up. And Keanu, 20 years later, is holding that up! That's not just physical. That's mental. That's a certain kind of mental fortitude.

I can see Keanu Reeves continuing that mental fortitude through more John Wick movies, but the box office and reception for John Wick 3 will certainly play a role. The early opening weekend estimates aren't too shabby, but I think they're too low. We'll see.

For now, you can watch a full scene from John Wick 3, with John trying to keep his new dog safe at The Continental hotel while John continues to run for his own life. Keanu Reeves previously said he wanted two specific things to be in Parabellum, and he got them both. He also apparently got a lot of rain, since the New York clips are just drenched. But we will get to see John Wick dry out in the desert with Halle Berry's Sofia.

John Wick: Chapter 3 - Parabellum (let Keanu explain the title) opens in theaters May 17 as one of the many films worth keeping track of with our handy 2019 movie release date schedule.

Dave Bautista Steps Up His Defense Of James Gunn With Passionate New Tweet

The most surprising news to come during San Diego Comic-Con wasn't a new trailer or a surprising casting announcement, it was Disney's decision to fire James Gunn following the unearthing of some old tweets the director had made which made jokes that many might not find funny. Dave Bautista had promised he would have more to say following his first statements on the topic and he now has, believing people should focus more on the good work James Gunn has done recently rather than the terrible jokes he made in the past.

Dave Bautista came to James Gunn's defense immediately after the decision to remove him from Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 was made and so one certainly wouldn't expect anything less than a full-throated defense to come now. Bautista's passion is palpable here. Bautista takes aim not only at those responsible for bringing the tweets to light but also anybody who is not standing by James Gunn. Bautista clearly feels that Gunn should be judged based on the work he has done recently, which he calls inspiring, rather than his behavior from years ago.

While many people are clearly going to have many different reactions to this situation, it's understandable where Dave Bautista's fire comes from here. While James Gunn's Marvel movies may have been two of the more lighthearted entries in many ways, they don't shy away from dealing with serious topics. Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 especially dealt with important topics like parenthood, abuse, and toxic masculinity. It was a movie that struck a chord with many. Certainly, Bautista himself seems inspired enough to come to James Gunn's defense.

Of course, with Dave Bautista feeling so passionately about this situation, it makes one wonder how it might affect the future of Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3. One fan asked Big Dave if he might sit out the new film as a form of protest. Bautista doesn't answer that question with a specific answer, saying that there are bigger issues here.

While some of Dave Bautista's co-stars have stopped short of making clear statements on their feelings on this topic, expect to hear the man behind Drax continue to be very vocal about his feelings here. We certainly haven't heard the end of this story.
